Fred Hockert Park
This small playground park has a surprising number of interesting species, partially due to a bird-loving neighbor with lots of feeders.
What Do I Need to Know Before Visiting?
Street parking is easy.
What Will I see Here?
American Goldfinches and Pine Siskins frequent nearby feeders. Eurasian collared doves and Band-tailed Pigeons are also regulars. Whether Anna's Hummingbirds, Red-winged Blackbirds, or Steller's Jays, you're bound to see a lot of birds in and around this park. We even witnessed Turkey Vultures migrating over this location!
